5/10/13:
We are excited to have a new doctor joining us! Dr. Christal Forgenie will start May 13th. Visit our Meet the Doctors page and check out her bio!
We are sad to announce that Dr. Rio will not be continuing at Hudson Heights Pediatrics after her maternity leave. She and her family have decided to leave the city to raise their children closer to family. Her last day will be May 17th. If you have an appointment scheduled with Dr. Rio after May 17th, we will contact you soon to let you know which doctor your appointment will be with. We will miss her and wish her luck in her new home!
5/2/13: The office will be closed Sunday, May 26th and Monday, May 27th for Memorial Day. We will reopen at 9am on Tuesday, May 28th.

3/6/13: Please note, the office will open at 10:30am Monday, March 18th. The office will be closed Sunday, March 24th and Monday, March 25th.
1/30/13: The “registration” link on the patient portal is not working properly – we are working to get it fixed as soon as possible!!
1/28/13: Our patient portal is back! On the portal you will be able to communicate with our staff via secure messaging, make your own well child appointments, and much more! Please click here to sign up (there is also a link on the side menu)
1/16/13: The newborn information sheet is now available on our website! You can find it by clicking here or on the link on the patient information page.
1/15/13: Our last flu clinic of the season is this Thursday, January 17th from 3 to 4:30pm.
12/21/12: Please keep in mind that we will be OPEN Monday, December 24th and Tuesday, December 25th.
12/19/12: Bev Solow hosts a breastfeeding group at our practice the 2nd Monday of every month at 9:30am – see our calendar for the exact dates, or visit her on the web at www.bevsolow.com.
11/21/12: HAPPY THANKSGIVING! The office will be closed Thursday, November 22 and Friday, November 23 for the holiday. We will reopen on Sunday, November 25 at 11am.
10/30/12: Our phone is back up! So if you need to page the doctors you can call 212-781-0400.
We will be open tomorrow, Wednesday 10/31.
Please call our office after 9AM tomorrow to schedule an appointment. We understand that travel may be difficult, so if you need to reschedule that’s ok. We will be waiving our late/cancellation policy for the remainder of the week, but please do your best to let us know if you’re having trouble getting to our office.
Any appointments that were cancelled due to the storm will be rescheduled for the end of this week and next week. We will be calling everyone to reschedule. We will have a few extended hours over the next several days to accommodate everyone.

10/29/12: Due to Hurricane Sandy, Hudson Heights Pediatrics will be closed until further notice, likely until the storm abates and travel outside is considered safe. If you have an urgent medical problem, you can call our office and page the on-call doctor. We have reassurances from our answering service they will have extra on site staff available to answer your calls. If you have difficulty reaching us, please call 911 or go to the nearest emergency room.
Please note New York City storm shelters will also have medical staff available at designated times, and might be alternative sites to visit if necessary. Click here for a list of shelters.
As long as it is technically feasible, we will post updates with further information.

9/6/12: WEBSITE UPDATE: The Quick Links menu now has a “Patient Information” page where you will find links to information regarding vaccines, medication dosing, child safety, and high cholesterol.
8/1/12: The vaccine information page has been updated with a more detailed vaccine schedule and the vaccine information sheets for the 2012-2013 flu vaccines.
7/10/12: We have set up a flu clinic schedule for 2012-2013. Please make note of these dates on your calendar if you do not have an appointment for your child this fall so that he or she can get the flu vaccine!
